A Taste of the Cotswalds via Five Valleys Cordials

For a taste of the country without having to brave the Great British weather or the even less great National Rail system, try one of the Five Valleys Cordials range, which come direct from the Cotswold countryside via the convenient shelves of your local Waitrose.

The new range launches at stores throughout London today, and comprises three flavours: Apricot & Ginger, Lemon & Mint and Pomegranate & Rose.

The drinks are the result of years of dedication from husband and wife team Chris and Becky Verinder-Baker, who started making their own cordials at their kitchen table before moving on to a local farmers’ market. The cordials contain no artificial colours, flavourings or preservatives and have won several awards for their flavour, including Taste Of The West and Great Taste Awards recognition in 2010.

The bottles will sell for £3.19 each, but are available for a limited period at an introductory price of £2.55. Try them mixed with still or sparkling water, hot water, or really up the ante by mixing them into a cocktail or two.

As well as at Waitrose stores, the cordials are available online at www.fivevalleyscordials.co.uk.
