Unwrap this chilly November, indulge in some explosively delicious treats, and enjoy a scrumptious bonfire night in the warmth of The Royal Horseguards Hotel.
The prestigeous hotel, famed for its cellar and underground tunnels once leading to Whitehall, is the ideal hideout for those in search of a Bonfire Night with a difference, located just moments away from the spot where the original plot was foiled over 400 years ago.
The specially created Fawkes-inspired Afternoon Tea menu boasts an array of witty and delectable goodies bound to warm you through. The sweet treat begins with a thick, hot chocolate shot accompanied with a yummy toasted marshmallow, before a selection of TNT exploding white chocolate and chilli ganache truffles and Gunpowder tea infused macaroons are offered for guests to gorge on – as though it were the maincourse in a sweet-tooth’s dream.
And don’t for a moment think the third course - always sweet, might for some ironic reason be savoury. Roasted chestnut cupcakes and sticky, mini toffee apple lollies garnish the beautiful creation that is mulled wine jelly topped with cinnamon cream, before sparklers are provided for guests to end their tea with some traditional fun.
This mouth-watering menu is served amongst the plush surroundings of the Royal Horseguards’ luxurious lounge and is available from 1st – 6th November. Forget trying to match your scarf with your gloves, take your woolly hat off, and keep cosy this Bonfire Night.
