Nothing says Christmas quite like a festive cocktail.
At the Rotunda Lounge in the London Marriott Hotel County Hall in Westminster, an enchanting menu of Christmas drinks is available for the holiday season. We at BT made a visit to this classic hotel bar, settling in at comfortable seats by the window with a fabulous view of Big Ben. The overall atmosphere was extremely festive, and after few (or more) of these Christmas-inspired cocktails we felt like we were relaxing in the North Pole.
Cocktails on the Christmas menu include the Chocolate Gingerbread, a decadent drink made with Mozart dark chocolate liqueur, Rémy Martin VSOP cognac, Grand Marnier, gingerbread syrup and egg white, and The Victorian, made with Henrick’s gin, fresh fruit juices, elderflower syrup and lemongrass tea. For something sweeter there’s Sherry Posset, a delightful combination of Bristol Cream, nutmeg, milk, egg white and a hint of caramel.
If you only have time for one drink, try our personal favourite, The Blue Blazer. It’s a drink that was invented in The Occidental Hotel in San Francisco, and it bears some similarities to a winter classic, the Hot Toddy. This drink is Christmas in a glass—Johnny Walker set alight and mixed with sugar, cinnamon and hot water.
