Remember, remember ‘tis the month of Movember….
Yes, that’s right. That time of year is upon once again. The time of year when the nation’s men – known temporarily as Mo Bros – grow some facial decoration in aid of prostate cancer.
This year, the campaigners have also opened up the event to Mo Sistas, who are enlisted to encourage their men, rather than actually get hairy themselves. Rumour has it there was a slightly less PC, but more rhyme-friendly tagline for Mo Bro’s female counterparts, but we won’t mention that. Ho, ho, ho, we do crack ourselves up….
Anyway, another category should be created – the Moraffe. We’re not sure if the London Zoo’s long-necked inmates are in on the tash action yet, but the restaurant which borrows their name certainly is.
Giraffe restaurants nationwide have launched their ‘Show your Mo’ campaign, offering any of the mo-vellous* people taking part the chance to win tickets to an exclusive Giraffe Tash party on Wednesday 30th November at Giraffe Bar & Grill in Soho. Show your Mo by sending a photo to @giraffetweet using the #showmymo hashtag or upload a photo to the Giraffe Movember event page on facebook. Mo Sistas, feel free to draw one on or don a fake, everyone’s free to get involved.
Any fakery through the medium of Google Images / Photoshop will be shown up on the night, so don’t even think about it.
If you’re not man enough to take part, or if your upper lip simply says no, then you can still take part by treating yourself to a Hippy Hippy Mo smoothie, a tasty blend of mango, passion fruit, banana and tangerine, with 50p from every purchase going to The Prostate Cancer Charity.
