The modern British restaurant, situated on the north side of the Millenium Bridge (which has spectacular views), has incorporated the owner Christian Butler’s much loved English bulldog in their innovative idea to raise money for their chosen charity – Action Against Hunger’s Love Food Give Food, an international humanitarian organisation committed to ending child hunger.
The gorgeous dog Veronica – or ‘Ronnie’ to her friends, has had her face superimposed on a British flag on the front of a canvas bag, whilst on the other side it reads “I [heart] NB”.
The ‘Ronnie Bag’ can be bought directly from Northbank for a mere £5 with all proceeds going to the charity, and each time a customer presents the bag at Northbank they will receive 15% off of their total bill when ordering from the delicious a la carte menu.
This fantastic fundraiser launched at Northbank’s 4th Birthday Party earlier in October, with guests donating generously to the Love Food Give Food campaign on the night. Whilst only a limited number of bags were produced, a new design will be considered for 2012 in the hope that they eventually become collectable items.

FYI – Ronnie can usually be found at Northbank’s entrance welcoming guests (seriously considering whether she can fit in one of her own bags so we can have her welcoming our guests at our BT towers entrance…) and has clearly been brought up well as she has a particular penchant for canapés.
