Spirit of Spending

Here at Tomato Towers, we’re not averse to bankrolling the odd big night out. We think we may have just come across the best way to blow some spare cash on drinks, though.

Russian based company Ladoga have come together with Signature Lifestyles in the UK to announce the release of its Faberge inspired Imperial Collection Vodka, to be sold at London’s Browns boutique.

A strictly limited quantity of 100 vodka filled eggs a year are being imported for the purchasing powers of London’s great and good. Inspired by the bespoke jewels created for Tsars Alexander the Third and Nicholas the Second of Russia by Peter Carl Faberge himself,  they are made using enamel, crystals, and 24-carat gold gilding as they would have been over 100 years ago.

Just as much attention has been paid to the vodka within. The ‘Super-Premium’ vodka is over 12 times distilled, then filtered 5 times through birch charcoal, quartz and algae in a process which brings together Russia’s vodka production heritage with the latest technologies.

The cost? Go on guess…

Alright, we’ll tell you. The enamel eggs will fetch £2,600 a piece, a comparative snip compared to the gold and silver versions which come in at £5,600 each.

A great Christmas gift if you’re feeling unsavourily rich, then. Which we’re sure you are. It’s not as if the country is embroiled in protests, strikes, riots and economic gloom, or anything. At least there’s the bankers and their bonuses. Oh wait…

Head to Browns on Mayfair’s South Molton Street to pick up your egg. You may want to take the Tube and save the taxi fare.
