Whether you need a break from shopping or are hungry or parched; whether you are in search of a luxurious yet relaxed setting for a spot of lunch, perhaps supper, or fancy that it is simply just tea time – then find your way up to the second floor and take a seat in Harrods’ newly unveiled, beautifully appointed Tea Room.
The bright, airy restaurant, decorated in hues of green and cream, offers a traditional and inventive menu, complemented by an exquisite selection of teas including blends from their very own tea gardens, as well as rarities such as Ambootia Snowmist and an exclusive 22-karat-gold tea – yes, well, it is Harrods!
Whether you stumble across it whilst shopping or you make a bee-line for it upon arrival, The Tea Room is a must-visit destination for quintessential British breakfasts, afternoon teas and leisurely lunches.
Breakfast guests at the restaurant can scoff classics such as English crumpets and teacakes, along with freshly baked buns in a selection of scrumptious flavours like caramelised onion, goat’s cheese and chive, and aged chedder. Whilst diners at lunch and supper can opt for timeless British staples such as Lancashire hot pot and roast beef, or lighter dishes like pea soup with smoked ham hock or a tea-smoked salmon salad. For dessert, there’s a selection of old-fashioned favourites including treacle tart, apple crumble and sticky toffee pudding.
Fine Harrods’ chefs have also crafted a sumptuous selection of ‘Tea Fancies’ along with posh sandwiches and scones as this elegant and unmistakeably Harrods restaurant is set to become one London’s top afternoon tea spots.
The Tea Room is open from Monday to Saturday, from 10am to 8pm, and on Sundays, from 11:30am to 6pm.
